The SICA Doghouse Building Competition challenges teams from across the Southern Interior to design and build the most creative, functional, and fun doghouse imaginable. You’ll have one month to complete your build then join us for an afternoon BBQ and showcase event where your work takes centre stage. All completed dog houses will be donated to a local canine rescue, helping support animals in need across our region.
Build Kit Sponsor (Donation or In-Kind) – We are on the hunt for various materials that builders can use when constructing their doghouses! Get in touch with us to tell us about what you have in mind or donate monetarily and we can get supplies to provide builders as needed.
All completed dog houses will be donated to a local canine rescue, helping support animals in need across our region.

- Doghouse Showcase & BBQ – Celebrate with live judging, prizes, food, and community fun.
- Calendar Launch – We’ll unveil our “Job Site Dogs of the Southern Interior” Calendar, featuring the industry’s favourite furry co-workers.
- Casting Call – We’ll be on the lookout for dogs to feature in next year’s calendar — so bring your best four-legged teammate!
- Community Impact – Every entry supports the a local rescue and promotes the caring side of construction.
